Demon Hill
Julian Hoeber discusses the genesis of his project Demon Hill, a disorienting plywood installation at the Hammer Museum inspired by his experiences of “mystery spots” throughout the West. Luc Sante writes in his essay for the show’s catalogue, “[Hoeber’s] work is at once a meditative, austerely sensual conceptual art object and a carny trap.”
