As part of the exhibition The Experimental Impulse, Ariane Roesch focused on the cross-over between the Los Angeles Punk and Country music scene in the late 1970s/ early 1980s. She conducted this interview with Marc Kreisel as research into the Los Angeles music scene and Al’s Bar.
Marc Kreisel is the founder and owner of Al’s Bar, a popular hang-out, performance venue, and gallery for musicians and artists in downtown Los Angeles from 1979 to 2001.
