MOCA Los Angeles Director Philippe Vergne on why art publishing matters

Last month, in support of our current fundraising campaign, we sat down with MOCA Los Angeles director Philippe Vergne to discuss the importance of history, the poetry of Ed Ruscha, and why it’s essential to support art publishing now. He says, “In publication is the idea of not only being printed, but being public. And that, for me, is what’s very important.”

Philippe Vergne interviewed by Stacey Allan, August 5, 2014 at MOCA Los Angeles. Video by Peter West.
