Ryan McGinness Invades Los Angeles
Photographer Phil Tarley writes: The Standard Hotel in Hollywood staged a killer-kool bash to celebrate pop artist Ryan McGinness and his multivenue art attack on Los Angeles. The NY-based artthrob is killing it all over Los Angeles with installations, events, one-man shows, and the launch of a new gallery, Country Club’s Works on Paper. The Standard’s private lounge was kitted out with black lights, dance poles, and mini stages. Four mostly naked “Nudie Card” girls glowed phosphorescently as they writhed in front of McGinness’ fiercely magical, wild and whimsical, wonderful womenworks.
