One of the founding partners of Gemini G.E.L., Stanley Grinstein talks about the Los Angeles art world that he and his wife, Elyse, helped nurture and support. He talks about the dysfunction of LACMA, and in particular some of the highs and lows associated with the Art & Technology Exhibition. The Grinstein’s relationship with many significant artists working in the late 60s and throughout the 70s was warm and supportive and here he tells stories about a number of artists, including Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Whitman, and Allen Ruppersberg.
