In conjunction with the exhibition “Carefree California: Cliff May and the Romance of the Ranch House,” please join us at the AD&A Museum for a reading from our new book Piecing Together Los Angeles, the first collection of writings by the renowned architectural critic Esther McCoy (1904-89). Writer and anthology editor Susan Morgan will read selections from the book and discuss McCoy’s role in articulating the concepts and vibrant character of West Coast modernism as it was being created.
