Karen Lofgren is a Los Angeles–based visual artist who was raised on Toronto Island and at a Tibetan Dharma Center, by esoteric parentage and within experimental social structures. Deeply influenced by the diverse countercultural environments in which she came of age, her work taps into cultural anxiety, contemporary ritual, and mythology through objects and environments at life scale.
