One Classic, One Modern: The Brief Correspondence of Roberto Bolaño and Enrique Lihn

The papers of Enrique Lihn, Chilean poet, novelist, playwright, and critic, came to rest some ten years ago in beige boxes of brown folders in the chilly vaults of the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles. Within these multiple enclosures lie a few pieces of correspondence from the author Roberto Bolaño, who was then living in Gerona, Spain, to Lihn in Santiago, including the postcard shown above.
