Presented alongside “Betye Saar: Drifting Toward Twilight,” now on view at The Huntington until November 25, 2025, is a short documentary featuring the 97-year-old artist discussing her family and childhood in Pasadena and Los Angeles, her prolific career engaging relics of racism, spirituality, and the natural world, and her eclectic creative process.
