Paul McCarthy published and distributed one issue of Criss Cross Double Cross on tabloid-sized newsprint in the Fall of 1976 as a space to publish original works by artists. Barbara T. Smith created a deliberately amateurish Vogue-style layout while also providing self-serving fashion advice.
